what to wear [wisconsin portrait photographer]

WHAT TO WEAR? the age old question. it's hard enough to pick out your outfit on a daily basis but pictures, total freak out. what colors do we wear? can i wear a pattern? what about a scarf?

the answer. wear what you feel comfortable in. look like you. don't wear heels and a fancy dress if that's not what you look like everyday. i want you to look like you! it's already tough being tossed in front of the camera but when wearing shoes that hurt your feel or a dress you feel is too tight. you'll be a nervous wreck, constantly thinking if you look ok.

wear that sweater that you live in everyday. or that scarf that you can't get enough of. people will realize that its YOU! wear that color you  look best in!

sweaters and jackets are great! it's great for posing or changing your look by taking off or putting it on.

don't be afraid to go casual! sure it's fun to dress up but who doesn't love jeans and a t-shirt! love the shadicks outfits here! andy added some pop of pattern with his flannel shirt and amanda's top is perfect to show off her baby bump! they match but aren't dressed the same!

it's tough making a big family to match, the seidlers rocked it though! they picked 2-3 complimentary colors and went from there. no one is dressed the same. you can wear all 3 colors or just one. wear a simple dress with a fun patterned scarf or wear a patterned dress with a fun necklace! don't be afraid of stripes or floral!

remember what season your are in! there is nothing better than a little color when there is snow on the ground! Loved that Renee decided to go with a red jacket to add a little pop of color to their neutral outfits. isn't red just great for winter?

Loved that Iiesha chose this fabulous print for her maternity session. not only was it completely her, the colors were amazing for our outing at high cliff state park. they matched the browns of the trees and the oranges of the leaves.

last but not least. senior sessions are super fun to style! and if you have any questions on what to wear text a picture to your photographer (trust me, they would love to help out) loved that mary wasn't afraid to wear a pattern! and can we please take a look at those fabulous shoes? the dress fit the summer and natural feel that went along great with the locations we were at!

all that you really have to do to look good in your pictures is BE YOU. smile and laugh. let yourself be comfortable. and don't be afraid to email pictures to your photographer so you can both discuss what you think would look fabulous. think about where you will be during the shoot and think of your everyday style!
