As I wind down from a day full of running around and chatting with other local small business owners, I feel thankful. Thankful that I took the leap even though I was scared to death to walk into that first meeting. I was the youngest one there and had (at the time) barely any experience as I was entering my first photo season as a actual "full time" photographer. Gosh am I glad that I sucked it up and went. I have made so many contacts and learned so many things. Especially from todays meeting because I know NOTHING about taxes. So today I am feeling so thankful. Thankful that people are willing to share their knowledge and questions. I may not have learned everything but I learned a heck of a lot more than I know now. 

I'm so happy that there is such a great community of creatives in the area who are always willing to give advice and just talk about the struggles and triumphs we all go through. We have all learned from each other and it's all because of the Rising Tide Society. Proud that I took that leap [which doesn't happen much when your pretty introverted] and went to that first meeting.
