northwoods elopement [wisconsin wedding photographer]

a couple weeks ago I got to attend the Explore North Workshop in northern Wisconsin. I had a blast learning from some amazing photographers and getting to know other photogs from around the state. I have always been nervous to go to a workshop. It's the being thrown in with a group of people you have never met before and being led by people you greatly look up to. I decided to take a leap though and gosh was it worth it. Currently planning what workshops I'm going to do in the next few years. It's such a great way to continue my learning, meet some amazing people, and practice my skills. That week up in Northern Wisconsin is certainly one of my favorites and I learned so much from this workshop.

the first day we got to photograph a styled elopement and man was it gorgeous. from the cascading bouquet to the flowing skirt. nicole and hunter were amazing models and i had so much fun wandering the woods to photograph them. i dream of getting to explore the woods with couples and this shoot made me realize i need to do it more. so watch out future couples, we will be adventuring in the woods [don't worry, i'll bring the bug spray].
